At Buckingham, we understand that each student is unique, with individual needs and goals. Hence we encourage them to choose their courses based on their aptitude. In this process, they are carefully guided by senior members of the faculty.
The students are advised to study the prospectus from the college and ensure that the chosen course is at least 15 to 25 hours of daytime study weekly. It may be possible to combine two courses to make up the total. To make the most of one's time at college, it would be ideal to have the financial condition organised well in advance so that one does not have to struggle financially at the time of establishing oneself.
Students are provided relevant work experience in their field applicable to availability and conditions. They learn in a close, informal environment, maintaining frequent contacts with the available active faculty members. They are also encouraged to participate in a rich array of clinics, classes, internships, publications and independent projects.
VISA Requirements
All international students who are on a student visa are required by the British Home Office and Immigration guidelines to attend a minimum of 80 % of all scheduled classes in order to maintain their status as a student in the United Kingdom, and further still, they must be on a full time course of study involving a minimum of 15 to 25 hours per week organized daytime studies. International students failing to meet these legally binding guidelines can and will be removed from the college promptly without any due hesitance.
Please be aware that any breach of immigration rules can be seen as a criminal offence by the UK government, and it is a matter that the college will treat this as a “serious” issue. Don't ruin your chances to study in the UK by breaching the conditions on which you came to this country in the first place. Please be aware of your status at all times, and also, of what we expect from you at this college.
